What's the best way to take care of Cuban Cigars?

July 22, 2013

Cuban Cigars are prone to dry out pretty quick if you don't take precautions to maintain them properly. There is a night and day difference between a dried out Cuban and a well-cared for one!

An airtight seal and humidity control are vital aspects for ensuring your Cuban Cigar stay nice and fresh.  Ideally, a humidor is the best way to do this; however, if you don't own a fancy humidor you can utilize any kind of storage container as long as it's airtight!

Mary Jane's Headquarters sell HumidiPaks for those who don't want to go the humidor route. HumidiPaks are awesome for maintaining a set level of humidity in enclosed spaces.  So as long as your container can hold a seal, pop in a HumidiPak and you're set!

They won't last as long as a real humidifier but at a fraction of the price, it's a cost-effective way of caring for your cigars!  Humidipaks come in 69% and 72% versions. So depending on the quality of your container's seal a 72% would be a better choice as the extra humidity contained within will help compensate for a lack of a seal.
